Total Dissolved Gas Survival Study

Four Peaks provided technical support for evaluating the effect of total dissolved gas (TDG) in barges used to transport juvenile salmonids downstream on the Columbia and Snake rivers. Water pumped from Columbia and Snake River hydroelectric projects served as the source water to imprint juvenile salmonids that were held in raceways adjacent to tailrace and transported downstream in the barges. Four Peaks evaluated the technical veracity of the current TDG data collection methods and possible monitoring alternatives to provide a statistically rigorous assessment of the effects of TDG control measures and in the holding environment for the juveniles in the barges.
