Shahab Karimifard, PhD

Shahab Karimifard is a scientist with over 10 years of experience in environmental research and project management, including water modeling, fate and transport of emerging contaminants, environmental data analytics, citizen science in environmental monitoring, design of experiments, optimization of environmental systems, sustainability planning/management, water/wastewater treatment, and environmental nanotechnology. Trained in civil and environmental engineering, he has a passion for working on water resources management, environmental data science, and aquatic research.

Shahab earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a specialization in water resources engineering, a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). He also completed a post-graduate program in Data Science and Business Analytics at the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys music, movies, novels, cooking, playing volleyball, and watching/analyzing soccer.
