Shahab Karimifard, PhD

Shahab Karimifard is a senior scientist and data quality manager with over 10 years of experience in environmental research and project management, including water modeling, environmental data analytics, fate and transport of emerging contaminants, citizen science in environmental monitoring, design of experiments, optimization of environmental processes, sustainability planning/management, water/wastewater treatment, and environmental nanotechnology. Trained in civil and environmental engineering, he has a passion for working on water resources management, regulatory compliance, environmental data science, and aquatic research.

Shahab earned a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a specialization in water resources engineering, a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). He also completed a post-graduate program in Data Science and Business Analytics at the University of Texas at Austin. He enjoys music, movies, novels, cooking, playing volleyball, and watching/analyzing soccer.
