Michele Rodriguez-Burns is a fish counting supervisor who has completed 32 seasons of fisheries work on the Federal Columbia River Power System, which includes 9 seasons in adult fish counting and 23 in smolt monitoring. Her extensive experience has included gas bubble trauma monitoring, bypass and time travel studies, adult fallback studies, video interrogation, and coded wire, passive integrated transponder, and floy tagging. In her current role, Michele supports the day-to-day operations and management of fishery observers—including equipment installation, observer supervision and training, safety and access, quality control, and reporting—for our Snake River operations.

Michele resides in eastern Oregon with her two dogs, Hercules and Lilly, where she manages her family farm. When she can, she enjoys visiting the Oregon Coast and camping in the Blue Mountains. She has three grown children: two daughters and a son
