Binglei Gong is an environmental scientist with more than 15 years of experience helping clients solve complex water resources questions in the Pacific Northwest and across North America. She has supported numerous projects related to compliance with the Clean Water Act (Section 401) as well as remedial design and source management alternatives under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (Superfund). Binglei’s areas of expertise include data synthesis, study design, and numerical modeling of the flow and transport of nutrients and contaminants in groundwater and surface water systems. She is dedicated to working collaboratively with clients and regulators to find innovative and practical solutions that ultimately serve to protect and improve our aquatic resources.
Binglei earned a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the State University of New York’s College of Environmental Science and Forestry and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Beijing Normal University. She lives in Amherst, Massachusetts, and enjoys traveling, cooking, board games, and woodworking.
