Lucius Caldwell is a fisheries scientist with over a decade of fisheries and aquatic science experience in the Pacific Northwest and throughout North America. Lucius uses his technical, project management, and data analysis skills to serve a wide range of clients—such as tribes, state and federal agencies, conservation districts, watershed groups, and private utilities—and enjoys collaborating with academic institutions and other private research firms to answer emergent ecological questions. He has designed and executed numerous effectiveness monitoring and bio-telemetry studies as well as led habitat assessments, watershed restoration planning, fish behavioral studies, stream temperature modeling, fish physiological studies, and water quality monitoring. Lucius is an American Fisheries Society Certified Fisheries Professional, and his background includes working as a fisheries biologist for the Yakama Nation and a fish sciences consultant for a private firm.

Lucius earned his PhD in Biological Science from the University of Idaho, a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Maine, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from McGill University. Lucius lives with his wife, two young boys, and their four-legged companion in the Columbia Gorge.
