Megan Stachura is a fisheries scientist with 10 years of experience managing, statistically analyzing, and visualizing environmental data and communicating findings for effective natural resource management. Megan previously worked with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) on a variety of projects, ranging from development of a bio-economic model of recreational fisheries to better understand management tradeoffs, to translating complex science and management information into informative, easy-to-understand profiles of seafood species. Her experience with NMFS has translated well to support our data-rich fisheries projects in the Northwest, often focused on reintroduction of salmon and steelhead populations in highly-modified systems.

Megan earned a Master of Science in Aquatic and Fishery Sciences from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science and Biology from the University of Miami. She lives in Seattle and is often found in the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, and putting her photography skills to work, capturing fish, wildlife, and natural landscapes.
