George Dang is a water quality scientist with 10+ years of experience dedicated to the aquatic sciences. He specializes in using data science to provide key insights and inform conservation and remedial strategies. He has previously worked on three major contaminated sediment and upland remediation projects under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (Superfund), contributing to efforts in geospatial analytics, fate and transport modeling, and chemical forensics. Trained in biogeochemistry and microbiology, he loves studying ecosystems through the lens of the interactions between biology, geology, and chemistry.

George received a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Engineering from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Cornell University. Based in Chicago with his husband, he enjoys cooking, gaming, and dragon boat racing.
