Environmental Compliance
Our water quality experts understand the nuances of the Clean Water Act and other environmental regulations. We serve clients on water quality compliance strategies in a variety of projects including:
- Municipal and industrial wastewater discharges
- Aquaculture
- Environmental controls during in-water construction
- Groundwater discharges
- Agricultural runoff
Our staff has applied cutting-edge modeling and monitoring to support the development of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) allocations for pollutants, and developed strategies towards compliance of such TMDLs. We have negotiated creative solutions with state and federal regulators to procure environmental permits for clients under challenging regulatory settings.
Environmental Impact Assessment
Four Peaks staff has supported the development of programmatic and project level Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) developed under National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as well as under state regulations such as SEPA. We understand the extensive public review process that is necessary to complete such EIAs and recognize the importance of distilling complex technical information into an easily comprehensible language and format. Our EIA experience includes water quality and biological habitat impacts relating to addition of reservoirs for water resources management, flood control and in-stream aquatic habitat improvements, water quality changes associated with aquaculture, and water quality and habitat changes associated with navigational dredging.
